McGlenn Prayer Letter October 2004
Dear Friends and Supporters,
Thank you for your support and prayers. We see ourselves as an extension of the church and fellow Christians in getting out God's message of love and mercy to the world around us.
We are seeking God about changes that are happening here. In the past God has opened wide the doors that He wants us to go through and closed doors when our path was changing.
It appears God may be changing the emphasis of our outreach to older students such as the high school and college age group.
We have been meeting with two college groups lately. We have more opportunities to expand. The college level students have a lot of interest and questions. The home school support base here is not very strong.. Things we thought were set to go have fallen through. We also lost some of our supporters when we moved from Minnesota. We have been working hard to set up programs in churches.
Praise:
1. We had a good trip to Minnesota in September. We had a good time of discussion on spiritual issues with our Asian friends. We spoke in five schools and made plans with Don Slinger and Lori Funderburk who are transitioning into teaching our classes in MN. John Nuckols is still there, too and doing a great job.
2. In August, we spoke at Oasis Christian Fellowship Church at Shell Beach, just up the road from Santa Maria. We presented Witnesses who have seen Noah's Ark and exhibited many fossils plus had learning games for the youth. We also had about 8 families come to a Skywatch program.
3. We are visiting ministerial meetings and churches in the area to get to know more people so they will see what we can provide to their churches.
Prayer Needs:
If any of the needs we have mentioned have touched your heart and spirit, would you prayerfully consider passing that blessing on to low income children by sponsoring one or two or a whole school? Here are two opportunities:
1. We have an opportunity to reach Hispanic young people. Seven students can attend our Santa Maria classes. They are Christian students, but their parents are field workers. We have heard sometimes they earn $10 a day. A scholarship for the year is about $125 per student which includes materials fees. Would you like to sponsor a student? or several? All seven students would be $875. Pray for sponsors. (see below for sending contributions)
2 We have the opportunity to teach 10 older students at Agape Christian School
These come from low income families and often have a physical or learning disability. They love Jesus and need to hear of His love and mercy as seen in the creation. Here is another area for sponsorship. Again $125 pays for 16 lessons plus materials. That's only $5 per lesson plus materials. If you cannot make a lump sum contribution you could send it per month.
3. We could work regularly with college age students. If you would like to help make it possible to reach out to this group who constantly hears the evolutionary worldview, please let us know. A monthly pledge, or a lump sum gift would be greatly appreciated.

Scholarship Tax deductible Contributions:
Send tax deductible scholarships made out to TCCSA (Twin Cities Creation Science Association) to Byron Twiss, TCCSA, 8100 32nd Ave. N., Crystal, MN. 55427, attach a note to say it is for the McGlenn's ministry.
4. Russ has over 100 colorful, animated, and exciting Power Point lessons that point to God as Creator and Lord of Creation. These have already been successful in helping students grow spiritually or become saved.
Pray that we can get these messages into more churches. Pray that pastors will open their doors to our ministry.
Thank you again for your prayer and financial support. It helps get God's message to a needy world.
We urge you to vote. Vote for people who want to protect the unborn baby, the family, marriage, and our nation. We as Christians can influence our country by our vote. Joshua did in his day:
“And if it seems evil to you to serve the LORD, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.” Joshua 24:15
By choosing to serve God, it means we will also hold our leaders to moral leadership. God has given us the opportunity in this country to choose who will lead us. We need to choose leaders based upon their moral compass and the traditional values I listed above.
In Him, Russ and Tricia McGlenn
