Hi Sharon,
Thank you for your second
reply. I have no doubt that
you are absolutely sincere in
your belief. If it works for
you, then perhaps it is the
best for you. Yes, I will let
you know if I ever convert to
Christianity, but don't hold
your breath! I have met three
Christian ministers that have
gone the other way -- to
atheism. I guess they didn't
have the benefit of your
ardent persuasion ;-) !!
I ask you just one question,
which I touched on in my last
letter. Imagine yourself to
have been born of a Jewish
mother and father and to have
been brought up to worship
devoutly in the Jewish faith.
Would you then be asking me to
accept Jesus as my Lord and
Savior? It is likely that
someone has asked you
something like this before,
but think deeply about it.
You may insist that
Christianity is the only true
faith. However, the Jews
insist precisely the same with
the same degree of conviction,
and ditto for members of all
other religions. Either all
are mistaken but one, or all
are mistaken period (my view).
At any rate, you are listening
closely to the voice of your
unconscious mind, which is
likely to give you valid
guidance in your creative
pursuits, because the
unconscious mind is the seat
of creativity. My literary
abilities, such as they are,
leave much to be desired, but
your writing suggests to me
that you should also turn your
attention to writing poetry.
Regards,
Tom
